Lexus has attached US prices to the 2027 TZ, the brand’s first three-row battery-electric SUV. Two trade reports published on 28 September — Electrek and Car and Driver — match the three starting figures Lexus Enthusiast published on 18 September, when it said the Lexus.com configurator was already live.
The TZ 450e Premium is listed from $64,050, Premium Touring from $72,050, and Luxury from $80,550. Electrek reports that those stickers include a $1,550 delivery charge. Both 28 September reports say only the Premium is scheduled to reach US retailers before the end of 2026. Touring and Luxury are described as early-2027 arrivals.
Range follows the battery, not a single headline number. Electrek and Car and Driver both report an estimated 253 miles for the Premium, 315 miles for Premium Touring, and 279 miles for Luxury. Lexus’s own May newsroom release lists two lithium-ion packs, 76.96 kWh and 95.82 kWh. Electrek ties the 253-mile figure to the smaller pack and the longer estimates to the larger one. Car and Driver rounds the packs to about 77 kWh and 96 kWh and attributes the Luxury’s shorter range, versus Touring, to 22-inch wheels rather than a smaller battery.
Output is the figure that moved after the spring preview. Both outlets say the dual-motor, all-wheel-drive TZ 450e is rated at 308 horsepower, below the 402 horsepower Lexus had previously associated with the model. Car and Driver adds that a dealer-installed Performance Upgrade can restore 402 horsepower, and only on the Luxury grade. That upgrade appears in one report. It is not in the May Lexus release or in the Lexus Enthusiast pricing note, so it stays unconfirmed until Lexus publishes it.
The TZ is a different vehicle from the battery SUVs Lexus already sells in the markets GetEVCar covers. The Lexus RZ 550e is the brand’s current electric crossover in the catalog, listed with the wider Lexus range. The TZ is a three-row SUV aimed at buyers shopping electric cars in the US. Anyone comparing that shape today can also look at the Hyundai IONIQ 9, already listed as a three-row battery SUV.
Timing on the shared platform shifted in the same two reports. The related Toyota Highlander battery SUV and the Subaru Getaway are now described as 2028 model-year vehicles arriving in 2027, which would put the Lexus TZ into US showrooms first. Lexus’s May release still framed the TZ as going on sale at the end of 2026, and said grade and pricing would come later in the year. The September price lists fill that gap. They do not, by themselves, confirm a delivery date for a specific US order.
For US shoppers the split is practical. The grade expected late this year is the shorter-range Premium. The 315-mile Touring figure that leads most headlines belongs to an early-2027 grade, on the larger pack.
