UK shoppers can order Volkswagen’s revised compact hatch today. The manufacturer’s British site lists the ID.3 Neo as open for order from 13 August 2026, quoting a 258–390 mile WLTP combined range across 50, 58 and 79 kWh batteries and three grades: Life, Style, and a limited Style Launch Edition.
On-the-road starting prices in electrive, EV Fleet World, and The EV Report all put Life at £33,080 before the UK government’s £1,500 Electric Car Grant, or £31,580 after it. Volkswagen UK does not print that pound figure on the marketing page, but it does confirm that the listed Neo variants meet Band 2 grant rules when the final purchase price stays under £42,000 including options. Treat the OTR ladder as trade-press reporting cross-checked three ways; treat grant eligibility as manufacturer-confirmed.
Britain skips Germany’s cheaper Trend grade and opens on Life. The three outlets agree on Life at £33,080 / £35,495 / £36,995 for the 50 / 58 / 79 kWh drivetrains. Style is listed from £38,500 (58 kWh) and £40,000 (79 kWh). The Style Launch Edition—58 kWh only—is £39,750 and adds a head-up display, panoramic glass roof, electrically adjustable massaging front seats, Travel Assist 3.0, and Park Assist Pro.
Range, power, and DC charging claims also line up with Volkswagen UK’s 258–390 mile band. The 50 kWh Life is quoted at up to 258 miles WLTP, 125 kW (170 PS), 0–62 mph in 8.6 seconds, and 100 kW DC with a 10–80% window of 24 minutes. The 58 kWh pack: up to 306 miles, 140 kW (190 PS), 8.0 seconds, 105 kW and 26 minutes. The 79 kWh pack: up to 390 miles, 170 kW (231 PS), 7.1 seconds, and a 183 kW peak that still takes about 29 minutes for the same 10–80% window—higher peak power, larger battery.
Those packs are not the outgoing ID.3 still indexed on getevcar.com. Read those spec sheets as the current-generation car until a Neo-specific listing is imported. The Neo is a deeper change than a mid-cycle skin. Electrive describes a move onto the further-developed MEB+ architecture and APP350 motor, still rear-wheel drive. Volkswagen UK and the trade reports describe a cabin with physical buttons and rotary knobs after years of haptic-slider complaints, a roughly 10-inch driver display and 12.9-inch centre screen, one-pedal driving as standard, and an optional vehicle-to-load adapter rated at 3.6 kW. EV Fleet World, alone among sources reviewed today, says Volkswagen’s PowerCo subsidiary has switched the 50 and 58 kWh packs to LFP chemistry while keeping NMC on the 79 kWh pack. Flag that chemistry split as single-source until a UK spec sheet from Volkswagen states it.
Electrive reports production of the revised hatch started in Zwickau in May, after German order books opened in April. For UK buyers the practical news is narrower: a priced, grant-eligible compact EV from a brand already well represented in Britain’s electric hatch segment, with directory pages that still describe last year’s ID.3 until Data Curator imports Neo-specific trims.
