Volkswagen Anhui opened sales of the ID. UNYX 09 in China on 24 October 2026. CnEVPost, CarNewsChina and GlobalChinaEV report the same list prices: 179,900 yuan for the Ultra, 219,900 yuan for a second single-motor version, and 249,900 yuan for the dual-motor Max. The outlets do not share one English name for the middle car, so the price is the stable label.

The 179,900 yuan entry is 20,000 yuan under the 199,900 yuan floor Volkswagen Anhui used when pre-sales opened on 24 September. The Max stayed at 249,900 yuan. CnEVPost and GlobalChinaEV also describe a narrower offer: 169,900 yuan for a black Ultra, limited to 500 cars, for deposits placed from 24 October through 30 November. That is a 10,000 yuan cut on one colour of the cheapest trim. The other colours and the other two prices stay on the list above.

The ID. UNYX 09 is a battery-electric sedan. The three reports describe one or two electric motors and a CATL lithium-iron-phosphate pack of about 92 kWh. CarNewsChina and GlobalChinaEV print the pack at 91.963 kWh and call the cells 5C. They do not describe a petrol engine. Readers shopping a Volkswagen that still burns fuel should use the plug-in hybrid list. Battery models sit on the EV list.

On the rear-drive Ultra and the 219,900 yuan car, the motor is rated at 230 kW and the range claim is 755 km on China’s CLTC cycle. The Max adds a 140 kW motor on the front axle, and its CLTC claim is 705 km. All three outlets agree on those figures. CLTC is a Chinese test cycle. It is a manufacturer claim under that cycle, and this piece does not turn it into a WLTP or EPA number.

Volkswagen Anhui says the 5C pack can add about 250 km of range in five minutes of charging. CnEVPost and GlobalChinaEV both attribute that sentence to the company. The reports do not say which charger, or which state of charge, produces that five-minute result on every trim.

The body is a fastback, 5,081 mm long, on a 3,030 mm wheelbase. CarNewsChina and GlobalChinaEV also give the width as 1,980 mm and the height as 1,509 mm. A 15.6-inch centre screen and an 85-inch augmented-reality head-up display are standard across the range in all three accounts. The two dearer versions add dual-chamber air suspension and adaptive damping. The outlets name different damping suppliers, so this article leaves the supplier unnamed.

Volkswagen ID. UNYX 08 SUV in China

The 09 is the second Volkswagen-branded model developed with XPeng, after the ID. UNYX 08 SUV. CnEVPost and GlobalChinaEV both trace the pairing to Volkswagen’s agreement in July 2023 to invest $700 million in XPeng and to build two Volkswagen-branded models on XPeng’s platform and driver-assistance software. Both outlets say the 09 uses one XPeng Turing chip rated at 750 TOPS, running a vision-language-action system for highway and city assisted driving and for parking.

GlobalChinaEV compared the 179,900 yuan list price with the Xiaomi SU7, which that outlet puts at 219,900 yuan for the cheapest version, a 40,000 yuan gap on the sticker. That SU7 price is one outlet’s comparison. It is not repeated in the CnEVPost or CarNewsChina launch pieces read for this article.

These reports are a China price list. They do not publish a dirham, pound or dollar sticker, and they do not place the car on sale in the UAE, the UK or the United States. On this site, the Volkswagen brand page is the hub for the marque. The Volkswagen ID.7 (2025) card is a separate battery sedan. The Jetta M6 (2026) card is a smaller battery sedan, listing a 42.9 kWh pack at 465 km and a 51.9 kWh pack at 555 km. The ID. UNYX 09 is its own fastback; the sedan body-type page is the shape, and those two cards are the Volkswagen battery sedans already listed.
