Toyota lists the 2026 RAV4 plug-in hybrid in the UAE from AED 154,900

Toyota UAE is now listing a 2026 RAV4 plug-in hybrid, with the GXL at AED 154,900 and the VXR at AED 169,900. Both are plug-in hybrids: a 2.5-litre petrol engine stays in the car, and the wheels are not driven by a battery alone. On the product page, Toyota says the system makes 324 hp, uses intelligent all-wheel drive, and can cover up to 100 km on electricity. That 100 km figure is the manufacturer’s claim. The page does not name a test cycle.

The same listing is the right place to separate this car from the 2026 Toyota RAV4 plug-in hybrid already on GetEVCar. That card is the United States specification. Its headline electric range is 87 km, the battery is listed at 22.7 kWh, and the trims are SE, XSE, Woodland and GR Sport, with the lower trims rated a little under the headline. It does not show dirham prices, and it is not the UAE GXL or VXR. Shoppers in the Emirates should start from the UAE market page and the Toyota brand page, then use the plug-in hybrid list for other petrol-electric models. The RAV4 is a SUV in either market.

Toyota UAE’s own board puts the plug-in above the other RAV4 nameplates it lists. On 24 October the electrified model index showed a RAV4 from AED 105,900 and a RAV4 Hybrid from AED 114,900, against AED 154,900 for the plug-in. The extra money is for a battery you can charge from a plug. The page says that charge can be 11 kW on AC or 50 kW on DC. It does not say how long either rate takes, or what the car uses once the battery is low.

The VXR record on that site is more specific than the hero banner. It is a 2026 2.5-litre PHEV, engine code A25A-FXS, E-Four, CVT, 324 hp, and a body 4,600 mm long, 1,855 mm wide and 1,700 mm tall, on 20-inch wheels. The spec region is marked GCC. The GXL is the AED 154,900 plug-in; the site does not print a separate horsepower for it, so the 324 hp line should be read as the model claim, not as a second independent test.

One number readers will look for is missing. Toyota UAE’s RAV4 plug-in page does not publish a battery capacity in kWh. ArabWheels, writing on 22 October and citing a brochure, reported 22.7 kWh. That happens to match the capacity on the US card. It is still a second-hand brochure figure, not a line on the price page, and it does not make the UAE “up to 100 km” claim the same measurement as the US card’s 87 km.

The sixth-generation shape itself is older news than this price list. Toyota showed the redesigned RAV4, hybrid and plug-in, at a US reveal. The film below is that reveal on Toyota USA’s YouTube channel. It is useful for the body and the idea of a plug-in grade. It is not an Al-Futtaim price announcement, and the GR Sport it dwells on is not the UAE grade ladder.

For a buyer in the UAE, the practical question is how often the car would actually leave home with a full battery. A claimed 100 km is a short electric day in a spread-out city if the charger is somewhere else, and a comfortable one if charging is at the house. The petrol engine is still there for the rest. The plug-in also sits AED 30,000 under the bZ4X Touring on the same Toyota UAE board, which is listed from AED 184,900 as a battery SUV. That is a different powertrain. Paying less for the RAV4 does not buy a battery-only Toyota.

Toyota UAE’s RAV4 plug-in page, checked 24 October 2026, is the source for the dirham prices, the 324 hp claim, the 100 km electric-range claim, and the 11 kW / 50 kW charging rates. ArabWheels, 22 October 2026, is the only source here for a 22.7 kWh brochure figure.
