Gargash Motors, GAC’s UAE distributor, now lists the GS7 plug-in hybrid from AED 159,900, with test drives at its Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah showrooms. That figure is on the dealer’s own GS7 page. Zigwheels carried the same dirham price on 14 September. Gulf News covered the UAE reveal on 11 September. This is a plug-in hybrid, not a battery-electric SUV: it still has an engine, and it does not belong on the BEV list.
Gargash quotes 501 hp through dual-motor all-wheel drive, a 36.3 kWh battery, 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds, and up to 1,020 km of combined range. The 1,020 km figure is labelled CLTC on both the dealer page and GAC’s global S7 product page. CLTC is a Chinese combined-cycle number. It is not WLTP, and it is not a UAE real-world range. GAC Global separately lists 150 km of electric-only range on the NEDC cycle for the same 36.3 kWh Magazine pack. GetEVCar’s live card uses that 150 km electric figure and 374 kW of system power (501 hp). A WLTP electric range for the Emirates has not been published on the Gargash page, so we are not inventing one. Zigwheels’ 6.5 L/100 km “battery-empty” claim is trade press only; Gargash and GAC Global do not print it, and we are not treating it as confirmed.
Gulf News reported that GAC and Gargash handed keys to the first four UAE customers at the launch and that more than 50 GS7s had already been sold before the official event. That volume and the handover count come from that one report. We have not seen an independent registration tally.
The car sits on GetEVCar as the GAC Motor GS7 PHEV (2027) — United Arab Emirates Available, 36.3 kWh, 150 km electric, 374 kW. The 2027 year in that slug is the catalog model year already on the site. There is no separate 2026 path, and we are not creating one. Shoppers comparing family SUVs in the Emirates should start on the UAE market page and the GAC Motor hub, which currently indexes this single plug-in. Body style is a five-seat SUV, about 4.9 metres long on Gargash’s sheet, not a seven-seater. Dubai already has a pin at GAC Deira for service; that listing is a workshop, not proof of a second GS7 trim.
Gargash’s kit list matches the global S7 brief: 20-inch wheels, a 15.6-inch screen, a 27-inch head-up display, Nappa leather with heating, ventilation and massage, a 22-speaker audio system, and 10 airbags as standard. Those are manufacturer claims, not a GetEVCar road test. The GS7 is also not the AION battery-electrics already on sale here. UAE shoppers who want a GAC-group BEV stay on the GAC Aion hub — the Aion Y Plus (2026) (63.98 kWh, 510 km NEDC, UAE Available) and the Aion ES (2026) (55.2 kWh, 442 km, UAE Available). The Aion V (2026) is a UK listing (75.3 kWh, 510 km WLTP, 150 kW), not a UAE GS7 substitute. None of those AION pages is a plug-in hybrid.
Elsewhere, newmobility.news on 14 September restated Leapmotor’s European B03X ladder: 292 km WLTP on the 39.8 kWh car from €24,900 in Belgium, and 382 km WLTP on the 53 kWh car at €28,900. Stellantis published those same WLTP numbers when European orders opened in July, so this is a spec confirmation, not a fresh launch. GetEVCar’s live Leapmotor B03X (2026) is United Kingdom Available at 53 kWh, 381 km, 145 kW. That euro list is not a UK, UAE, or US sticker, and the B03X is a battery-electric crossover — it does not go on /phev.
What we are not claiming: that 1,020 km is a UAE or WLTP range; that 150 km electric is WLTP; that Gulf News’ 50 pre-sold units is an official registration count; that AED 159,900 is a UK or US price; or that the GS7 is a battery-electric car. UK and US GS7 books, if they open, still need their own manufacturer lists.
