Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how GetEVCar.com (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information on https://getevcar.com and the WordPress blog at https://getevcar.com/blog.

1. Who we are

GetEVCar is an EV model directory, country-wise provider listing, and EV news blog. We are not a car dealer, broker, charger network, or repair shop.

2. Information we collect

We do not require an account to browse the site.

You provide

  • Newsletter: email address. We also store a hash of your IP address to rate-limit signups. Emails are stored in our database. We do not currently send mail through a third-party email service.
  • Provider “Call Now” lead form: name, phone number, and optional email. We store this so we can operate the lead-capture feature. Provider phone numbers are not shown until this form is submitted.
  • Provider enquiry form: name, email, and message. We store enquiries so we can operate the directory.

Collected automatically

  • Google Analytics (Google tag GT-TNSB9WW7) on getevcar.com and www.getevcar.com only. Google may set cookies and collect usage data (pages viewed, device, approximate location, referral). Direct visits to the origin IP address are not tagged.
  • Standard server and CDN logs (IP address, user agent, URL) as needed to operate and secure the site.
  • Staff admin (/admin): session cookies for operators who sign in. Not used for public visitors.

We do not run advertising pixels on the public site as of this date.

3. How we use information

  • Operate and improve the directory, blog, and newsletter list
  • Rate-limit abuse (hashed IP on newsletter)
  • Understand aggregate traffic (Google Analytics)
  • Secure the site and debug faults

We do not sell your personal information. Provider listings describe third-party businesses; submitting a lead or enquiry is so you can contact or be connected with that business’s listing on our site — it is not a payment or booking.

4. Sharing

We share data with:

  • Google (Analytics), under Google’s terms
  • Infrastructure providers that host the site, database, and CDN
  • WordPress hosting for /blog content

We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the site and visitors.

5. Retention

We keep newsletter, lead, and enquiry records while we operate those features, or until you ask us to delete them (see below), unless we must keep them longer for security or legal reasons.

6. Your choices

Email hello@getevcar.com to request access or deletion of newsletter, lead, or enquiry records we hold about you. You can also use Google Analytics controls and browser cookie settings. We do not currently show a cookie consent banner.

7. Children

The site is not directed at children under 16. Do not submit personal information about a child.

8. International visitors

The site is used from multiple countries (including the UAE, United States, and United Kingdom). Your information may be processed where our hosting and analytics providers operate.

9. Changes

We will update this page when our practices change. The effective date above will change when we do.
